Dill Pickle Gift Idea (Christmas)

One of my most popular posts was an easy Valentine gift idea featuring pickles, so I thought I would update it for Christmas.

I'm using this present as one of my "Ten Days of Gifting"!

If you have a pickle lover on your gift list, simply buy a jar of your favorite DILL pickles (or Pickle Chips or Pickle Candy or...)  

Option:  If you or someone you know cans delicious homemade Dill pickles every year - use those instead!

Wrap the pickles or simply trim around the edges and attach the tag to your pickles with a ribbon.  Even easier, just use a loop of tape and stick the tag to the lid.

For mine, I punched two holes in the tag.  After tying a ribbon around the pickles, I threaded both ends of the ribbon through both holes and tied/curled it on the back of the tag.  I am showing the larger tag in the photo below, but I have a slight preference for the smaller gift tag.

Some families even have a tradition of hiding a Christmas pickle ornament on the tree.  Whoever finds it first gets an extra little gift OR gets to open the first present.

I think this is a cute idea, especially if you have younger children.  Look for pickle ornaments at your local Target/Walmart/Dollar Tree.
