A Day Trip to the Lark Toy Store...

For my readers near Minneapolis, I wanted to post some local family "adventures" for you to try this summer!  One of our favorites was the Lark Toy Store, near Kellogg, MN.

The highlight for me was the handcarved carousel which runs every 30 minutes ($2 per ride).

The animals are all different and BEAUTIFUL!

There is also a toy store with lots of things to try on and games to play with.  Don't be fooled, the store keeps going and going and going!  (They have nice gifts for mom, too.  I bought a lovely nesting doll set that was handpainted in Russia...)

For a snack, there is a candy shop or a cafe that sells ice cream cones (among other things).  We finished the day by playing a round of mini-golf on their beautiful course.

If you're lucky, you may even see a llama!  This is a wonderful day trip if you live near for young and old alike!

  1. Looks really neat Karen! I would love to take a trip there this summer.

  2. Too bad I never bit the bullet and did that when we lived up there!!!
